Available Computer Equipment	Notes
Computers: Laptops, Notebooks, Tablets, Surfaces, Towers and Desktops	Intel i5 or better CPU. Faster processor speeds may be available when your request is processed. DVD/CD disk drive included. However, many of the newest computers cannot be equipped with DVD/CD drives. Laptop computer batteries are used and may need frequent charging. Laptops and tablets are available in limited quantities.

Windows 10 / Windows 11	The Microsoft Registered Refurbisher (MRR) program authorizes GE Elfun Computer Rehab of Schenectady, Inc. to offer licensed copies of Microsoft Windows. Any Windows 11 capable machine will have Windows 11 installed, otherwise Windows 10 will be installed. There is a $10.00 per machine license fee.
LibreOffice Document Suite	LibreOffice Document Suite is an open source replacement for Microsoft Office. LibreOffice is compatible with a wide range of document formats such as Microsoft® Word (.doc, .docx), Excel (.xls, .xlsx), PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx) and Publisher. But LibreOffice goes much further with its native support for a modern and open standard, the Open Document Format (ODF). With LibreOffice, you have maximum control over your data and content – and you can export your work in many different formats including PDF. LibreOffice to anyone for a $5 fee.
Laptop bags / Docking Stations	Carrying cases and docking stations may be available
Monitors	LCD monitors, typically 19″ and larger. Dual monitor setups are available on special request.
Keyboards and Mice	Standard 107-key USB keyboards. Standard USB mice.
Printers	Laser printers (may require the local purchase of toner cartridges). Color inkjet (may require the local purchase of ink cartridge). Multi-function printers with Scan/Copy/FAX/Print features are available in limited quantities.
Speaker sets	Many speaker sets are available.
Projectors	Overhead Video – limited number available.
Scanners	Limited numbers available.

Commercial Software

Commercial software other than Windows cannot be distributed due to licensing restrictions. We will, however, install any licensed software your organization owns.
